mini-open repair

mini-open repair

Surgery made through a small incision, typically one that is shorter than 3 cm in length. When the surgery enters a joint space, it is often assisted by arthroscopy, e.g. in repairs of the carpal tunnel, the rotator cuff, or the spine.

Patient care

Compared with open surgical techniques, mini-open techniques often heal more quickly and with less disability and pain.
