Novaia Ushitsa

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Novaia Ushitsa Raion, Khmel’nitskii Oblast, the Ukrainian SSR, situated on the Kalius River (a tributary of the Dnestr), 48 km from the Dunaevtsy railroad station on the Khmel’nitskii-Larga line. Among the enterprises in Novaia Ushitsa are a cannery and a brickyard. Tobacco is cured in the settlement. Novaia Ushitsa has an incubator farm and an agricultural mechanization technicum.
