Kutta-Joukowski equation

Kutta-Joukowski equation

[′ku̇d·ə jü′kȯv·skēi‚kwā·zhən] (fluid mechanics) An equation which states that the lift force exerted on a body by an ideal fluid, per unit length of body perpendicular to the flow, is equal to the product of the mass density of the fluid, the linear velocity of the fluid relative to the body, and the fluid circulation. Also known as Kutta-Joukowski theorem.
