Kuruk Tag
a mountain range in West China in the eastern Tien-Shan, between Lakes Bagrach Kol and Lop Nor. Length, about 350 km; altitude, up to 2,809 m. It is composed of ancient crystalline and metamorphic rocks and has steep, craggy slopes. Mountainous desert landscapes predominate, with sparse vegetation consisting of shrubs and grasses.
