Men’shagin, Vladimir Dmitrievich
Born June 22 (July 4), 1897, in the village of Shikovo, Tver’ Province. Soviet jurist, specialist in criminal law. Doctor of jurisprudence (1952), professor, and Honored Scientist of the RSFSR (1964).
Men’shagin was appointed a professor of law at Moscow State University in 1928 and taught at the Military Law Academy from 1941 to 1953. He is the author of several works on criminal law, including most of the special part in the two-volume text-book Soviet Criminal Law (1955-60).
