(Luhsien), a city in China, in Szechwan Province. Population, 289,000 (1953). The city is a port on the left bank of the Yangtze River, at the confluence of the To River. The chief industries are machine building, metalworking, woodworking, and the production of chemicals, food, textiles, and glass. Coal and salt are mined nearby.
