Kurort-Darasun

an urban-type settlement and a balneological and climatic resort in Karymskoe Raion, Chita Oblast, RSFSR. Situated at an elevation of 740–760 m on the Tura River (Amur River basin) on a motor road, 70 km south of the railroad station Darasun and 130 km southeast of Chita. The summers are dry and moderately warm (average July temperature, 16°C) and the winters are long and cold (average January temperature, – 22°C). Annual precipitation totals about 365 mm.

It is used for baths as well as for drinking and bottling. The air is of the mountain type. The resort offers treatment of patients with diseases of the circulatory organs and accompanying non-tubercular digestive and respiratory diseases. There are sanatoriums, a health-spa polyclinic, bathhouses, and facilities for drinking water.
