Arnold von Lübeck
Died 1212. A monk from Lübeck who wrote the Slavic Chronicle, which covers the years from 1171 to 1209 and is a continuation of Helmold’s Chronicle. The chronicle of Arnold von Liibeck provides information chiefly on the history of the Holy Roman Empire and the Polabian Slavs. It describes the last stage in the struggle of the Polabian Slavs against Germanic feudal aggression.
