Kulebaki

 

a city in Gorky Oblast, RSFSR, located on the Murom- Arzamas highway, 29 km southeast of the Navashino railroad station. Population, 46,000 (1972). It has a metallurgical plant, a metal structural-component plant, an asphalt plant, a brickyard, a lumberyard, a dairy, and a garment factory. A metallurgical technicum and a people’s amateur theater are located in the city. Kulebaki originated in the late 17th century and became a city in 1932.
