Kukmor

an urban-type settlement, administrative center of Kukmor Raion, Tatar ASSR; located near the border of Kirov Oblast. A railroad station on the Kazan-Agryz line, 120 km northeast of Kazan. Population, 12,000 (1971). It has factories producing felt footwear, garments and furs, bricks, and metal-ware, as well as a dairy plant and a woodworking combine.
