Kuia a river in the Nenets National Okrug, Arkhangel’sk Oblast, RSFSR; a right tributary of the Pechora, falling into the Kuiskii Shar channel. Length, 186 km; basin area, 3,600 sq km. The Kuia flows along the western outskirts of the Bol’shezemel’skaia tundra. The meandering river is fed by snow and rain; it freezes in October and thaws in May. |
