Kuhzad, Ahmad Ali

 

Born Apr. 28, 1908, in Kabul. Afghan historian.

Kuhzad was director of the Kabul Museum in the 1950’s and president of the Historical Society from 1956 to 1961. He has written numerous works on the ancient, medieval, and modern history, archaeology, and ethnology of Afghanistan. He is one of the authors of the multivolume History of Afghanistan (vols. 1–3, 1947–48). His works devote substantial attention to the Afghan people’s struggle against British colonialists.
