Kudirkos-Naumiestis
a city in Šakiai Raion, Lithuanian SSR, located on the Šešupè River (a tributary of the Nemunas), 16 km northwest of the Vilkaviškis railroad station (on the Kaunas-Kaliningrad line). A factory for scutching flax is located in the city. There is an agricultural technicum in Kudirkos-Naumiestis. The city is named in honor of the Lithuanian writer V. Kudirka.
