There are several differenttypes of ships, from fast, fragile scouts up to big, slowbattleships; this allows a great deal of variance in playstyles. Netrek is played using a client to connect to oneof several Netrek servers on the Internet. There is ametaserver which distributes details of games in progress onother servers.
