Some g suits (as anti-g suits are normally called) can be worn in lieu of overalls and combine functions of both.A pneumatically or oxygen-inflated apparel used by fighter crews to increase the tolerance of the human body to positive g, or acceleration, by restricting the flow of blood to the abdomen and the lower limbs. The aircraft anti-g system inflates the g suit to the required degree, depending on the amount of g being applied. A g suit increases the g threshold by 1.5 to 2 g.
