L scope

[′el ‚skōp] (electronics) A cathode-ray scope on which a trace appears as a vertical or horizontal range scale, the signals appearing as left and right horizontal (or up and down vertical) deflections as echoes are received by two antennas, the left and right (or up and down) deflections being proportional to the strength of the echoes received by the two antennas. Also known as L indicator; L scan.
