olecranal adjective Referring to the olecranon, see there.olecranon (o-lek'ran-on) [Gr., elbow] A large process of the ulna projecting behind the elbow joint and forming the bony prominence of the elbow. In treating a fracture of the olecranon, it is important to prevent spasm of the triceps muscle (to avoid separation of the fracture fragments by placing the arm in a sling or bandaging the arm to the side).
