Farberov, Naum Pavlovich

 

Born Nov. 21, 1909, in the village of Sherstin, Gomel’ Oblast. Soviet scholar and jurist. Doctor of the science of law (1949). Professor (1950). Honored Scientist of the RSFSR (1970). Member of the CPSU since 1940.

Farberov’s most important works deal with the theory of the state and law, state law, and the constitutional development of socialist countries. Farberov was a subdepartment head at the Military Law Academy from 1946 to 1952 and at the University of Irkutsk from 1953 to 1956. In 1964 he became head of the section of the theory of the socialist state and law in the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR.
