Kremenchug Automotive Plant

(full name, Kremenchug Fiftieth Anniversary of the Soviet Ukraine Automotive Plant), located in the city of Kremenchug, Poltava Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. It was built in 1958 on the basis of a combine plant. It manufactures vehicles of the KrAZ type in the following versions (1972): KrAZ-256B (12-ton dump truck), KrAZ-257 (12-ton general-purpose truck), KrAZ-255B (7.5-ton cross-country vehicle), KrAZ-255L (timber carrier) and KrAZ-258 (truck tractors capable of hauling a 30-ton semitrailer), using flow mass production. It was awarded the Order of Lenin in 1971.
