Kravchii

(boyar steward), an office and court rank in the Russian state from the 15th century to the early 18th century.

The duty of the kravchii was to wait upon the sovereign at the dinner table. During the 17th century the kravchii was entrusted with the direction of certain government prikazy (offices).
