Kozhim

 

a river in the Komi ASSR, a right tributary of the Kos’iu River of the Pechora River basin. The Kozhim measures 202 km long and drains an area of 5,180 sq km. It originates in the Urals, east of Mount Narodnaia. The lower Kozhim flows through a swampy plain. The river is fed by snow and rain. The mean annual flow rate is 120 cu m/sec. The Kozhim River basin is distingusished by its abundance of water (the runoff modulus is 25 l/sec· sq km).
