Kotsiubinskoe

(formerly Berkovets), an urban-type settlement in Kiev Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, 19 km west of Kiev. Railroad station (Belichi) on the Kiev-Korosten’ line. Kotsiubinskoe is the site of woodworking and building-materials combines, a furniture factory, and an experimental research stone-working plant. The settlement is named in honor of the Ukrainian writer M. M. Kotsiubinskii.
