Lewy body (loo-wē) [Frederic H. Lewy, Ger. neurologist, 1885–1950] A neuronal cell with pigmented inclusion bodies. They are found in the brain in the substantia nigra and locus ceruleus, esp. in patients with a unique form of dementia with some Parkinsonian features, known as "dementia with Lewy bodies."
