[‚män·ə′kȯid·ē·ə] (invertebrate zoology) A superfamily of free-living, nonparasitic nematodes in the order Mononchida, characterized by angular, distinct lips bearing papilliform cephalic sensilla, an expanded lip region that is flattened anteriorly, and a heavily cuticularized, barrel or globular stoma, with one or more teeth or denticles.
