Meissner, Bruno

 

Born Apr. 25, 1868, in Graudenz; died Mar. 13, 1947, in Zeuthen. German Assyriologist.

Beginning in 1904, Meissner was a professor in Breslau (Wroclaw), and beginning in 1921, in Berlin. His principal works dealt with Babylono-Assyrian history, literature, law, art, and language.
