multifocal electroretinography
electroretinography, multifocal (mfERG)Simultaneous recording of the electroretinogram from small retinal areas (e.g. 103 hexagonal areas in the central 50 degrees of the retina) which are independently light stimulated according to a binary m-sequence (e.g. a random reversal at 75 Hz). This method enables evaluation of specific regions of the retina (e.g. macular degeneration) and mainly of the cone pathway.AcronymsSeeMERG |
