Kondoma
Kondoma
a river in Kemerovo Oblast, RSFSR, a left tributary of the Tom’ River (in the Ob’ basin). Length, 392 km; basin area, 8,270 sq km. The source of the river is in the Biiskaia Griva Range, and its lower course is in the Kuznetsk depression. It is fed by mixed sources, mainly snow. The average water flow 73 km from the mouth is 130 cu m per sec. The Kondoma freezes in late October or in November and thaws in late April or in May. The river is used for floating logs. The cities of Tashtagol, Kaltan, and Osinniki are located on the river, and Novokuznetsk is at its mouth.
