Koksoak
Koksoak
a river in Canada, on the Labrador peninsula. Formed by the confluence of the Larch and Kaniapiskau rivers, the Koksoak flows through tundra and empties into Ungava Bay in the Hudson Strait. It measures approximately 1,000 km long (from the Kaniapiskau) and drains an area of 135,000 sq km. The river system has many lakes and waterfalls. The Koksoak is fed by snow; there is high water in the spring. The mean annual flow rate is approximately 2,000 eu m/sec.
