Location:35 miles south of Rochester, along the Genesee River; Exit 7 off I-390.

Activities:Camping, kayaking, whitewater rafting, hotair ballooning, fishing, swimming, hiking, bicycling, cross-countryskiing, ice skating, snow tubing, snowmobiling, horse-drawn sleigh rides, nature, history, and performing artsprograms, guided walks and tours, a summer lecture series. Deer and spring turkey hunting permitted in season.
Special Features:Park is sometimes referred to as the "Grand Canyon of the East."Features include the Genesee River, which roars through the gorge overthree major waterfalls between cliffs as high as 600 feet, scenictrails, and lush forests. The historic, completely restored Glen IrisInn, a hotel built in 1914, offers overnight accommodations and is opento the public for meals.
