Opochka

a city and administrative center of Opochka Raion, Pskov Oblast, RSFSR. It is located on the Velikaia River (which empties into Lake Pskov), 62 km northwest of the Pus-toshka railroad station on the Velikie Luki-Rēzekne line and 130 km south of Pskov. Industries include flax processing and the manufacture of clothing. Opochka has a creamery, a distillery, and a plant for the manufacture of reinforced-concrete structural members. It also has a pedagogical school.
