释义 | Mulligan, GerryMulligan, (Gerald Joseph) Gerry(1927– ) jazz musician; born in New York City. An important baritone saxophonist associated with cool jazz, he began as an arranger for Gene Krupa in 1947 and Claude Thornhill in 1948, then played on the historic Miles Davis Nonet recordings in 1949. He gained considerable success with the quartet he formed with Chet Baker in 1952, and he led ensembles of various sizes thereafter. |
