Monegasque Franc

The former currency of Monaco. It was introduced in 1837. From 1960 until it was replaced by the euro in 1999, all coins in circulation corresponded with those of the French franc. The Monegasque franc was pegged to the French franc at a one-to-one ratio and the two currencies circulated alongside each other in Monaco.
