Badkhyz

Badkhyz

 

a rise in the southeast Turkmen SSR, in the interfluve of the Tedzhen and Murgab rivers. It has a height of up to 1,000 m. On the slopes there is semidesert and desert vegetation, with pistachio thickets in places. In low-lying areas there are takyry (clay soils) and solonchak. The Asiatic wild ass has been preserved in the Badkhyz.
