military brace test
A clinical test used to identify vascular impingement in shoulder injury.Method
Examiner stands behind patient whose shoulders are relaxed and head facing forward. The patient retracts and depresses the shoulders as if coming to attention; the humerus is extended and abducted to 30º, and the neck and head are hyperextended. If the radial pulse disappears, the subclavian artery is being blocked by costoclavicular dysfunction.
