Location:Northeastern Florida. Accessible by I-10; US 41, 90, 441; FL 100. Nearby cities/towns include Jacksonville and Lake City.

Special Features:Olustee Battlefield Historic Site, where one of the nation's largest reenactments of a Civil War battle is staged annually during Presidents' Day weekend in February; Big Gum Swamp Wilderness, a cypress-gum swamp with a perimeter of pine flatwoods; Ocean Pond, a 1,760-acre natural lake; a 23-mile section of the Florida National Scenic Trail (see entry in national trails section).
