Medium-density fiberboard

Medium-density fiberboard

(MDF)An engineered wood product made of softwood fibers, wax, and resin and formed into panels with the use of heat and pressure. Similar to particleboard, MDF has finer texture, offering more precise finishing. Most MDF is made with formaldehyde-emitting urea-formaldehyde binders, which can contribute to poor indoor air quality.
