Activities:The memorial is operated by the National Park Service and is open to visitors 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Special Features:The World War II Memorial honors the 16 million Americanswho served during World War II, along with the millions who supportedthem on the home front. A wall contains 4,000 gold stars symbolizingthe more than 400,000 Americans who died during the war.
