Leninsk
a city (since 1938) in Andizhan Oblast, Uzbek SSR, located in the Fergana valley on the Shaarikhansai Canal. Population, 28,000 (1970).
Leninsk has a railroad station (Assake) on the AndizhanKokand line. It is a junction of highways leading to Margilan, Fergana, and Andizhan. Its industry is represented by two cotton-ginning plants, an oil extracting plant, an automobile repair plant, a plant producing reinforced-concrete products, a building-materials plant, and an oxygen plant. Leninsk has a Soviet trade technicum and a preschool teachers’ training school. Oil and gas are extracted nearby.

an urban-type settlement; the center of Leninsk Raion, Tashauz Oblast, Turkmen SSR, located on the left bank of the Amu Darya, 57 km northwest of Tashauz, with which it is linked by highway. Population, 7,500 (1972). It has a cottonginning plant and a brickyard.
Leninsk
(until 1919, Prishib), a city (since 1963) and the center of Leninsk Raion, Volgograd Oblast, RSFSR, on the left bank of the Akhtuba (a branch of the Volga), 3 km from the Leninsk railroad station on the Volgograd-Astrakhan line. Leninsk has a vegetable and fruit cannery and a mechanical workshop of the Volgograd drilling-equipment plant.

an urban-type settlement in Cheliabinsk Oblast, RSFSR, 30 km southwest of the Miass railroad station on the Cheliabinsk-Berdiaush line. Gold is mined.
