KLF8 A gene on chromosome Xp11.21 that encodes a protein belonging to the Sp/KLF family of transcription factors, which contains a C-terminal DNA-binding domain with three Kruppel-like zinc finger motifs. KLF8 is thought to regulate epithelial to mesenchymal transition, a process that occurs during normal development as well as during metastasis.KLF8
