Klevret

(Old Church Slavonic, from Latin collibertus, “fellow freedman”).

The word klevret was taken into the Russian language through Biblical translations. Until the mid-19th century it was used to mean “friend,” “ally,” or “like-minded person,” but it later took on a pejorative tone, meaning “myrmidon,” one who stops at nothing to please his patron.
