Kitoi Goltsy
Kitoi Gol’tsy
a mountain range of the Vostochnyi Saian, in the Buriat ASSR. The Kitoi Gol’tsy extends in a latitudinal direction, forming a watershed of the Kitoi, Urik, Onot, and Malaia Belaia rivers. The range measures approximately 180 km long, with elevations of 2,200–2,500 m; the highest point is Mount Ospinskii Golets (3,215 m). Alpine peaks predominate. Mountain larch and cedar forests grow on the slopes to 1,900–2,100 m; higher up are mountain tundra and stony placers. There are deposits of gold and asbestos.
