an urban-type settlement in Azerbaijan SSR, part of the Kirovskii Raion in the city of Baku. Population, 43,000 (1970). There is a sawmill. A branch of the Baku Evening Petroleum Technicum is located in Kirovskii. There is petroleum extraction nearby.

It is located on the Ussuri River, a tributary of the Amur, 18 km east of the Shmakovka railroad station on the Khabarovsk-Ussuriisk line. It has a logging and timber distribution enterprise, a creamery, a plant producing reinforced-concrete structures, a meat and dairy sovkhoz and a beekeeping sovkhoz. Kirovskii also has a tourist center.
