Kirillovka

 

a climatic and balneological-pelotherapeutic health resort in Zaporozh’e Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, on the shore of the Sea of Azov and the Utliuk Liman. It is located 42 km from the Akimovka station on the Dnieper railroad and 65 km from Melitopol’. Summers are warm, with average July temperatures of 21°C; winters are mild, with average January temperatures of —6°C. Annual precipitation is about 380 mm. Therapeutic remedies include the mud from the Utliuk and Molochnaia limans and a hydrogen-sulfide sodium chloride spring, whose waters are used for baths. Persons suffering from diseases of the organs of motion and support, gynecological problems, and diseases of the peripheral nervous system are treated in Kirillovka. The city has a sanatorium and a facility for water and mud baths.
