Mohs chemosurgery technique (mōz) [Frederic Edward Mohs, U.S. surgeon, 1910–1979] A method of excising tumors of the skin. The tumor tissue is fixed in place, and a layer is removed. That portion is then examined microscopically. This procedure is repeated until the entire tumor is removed. This technique is esp. useful in treating basal cell epitheliomas. |
