Nonviolation Nullification of Benefits Nonviolation Nullification of BenefitsThe reinterpretation of a provision of a WTO agreement or a bilateral trade agreement such that it contradicts the way it was previously interpreted. It does not accuse one party of violating the agreement. However, it can change the way it is enforced. Nonviolation nullification is very controversial because it increases uncertainty in international trade. It results in arbitration before the WTO or other appropriate body. |
