Location:4 miles south of Sopchoppy on US 319, 10 miles from the Gulf Coast.

Special Features:From the park, boaters have access to the Ochlockonee River,Ochlockonee Bay, and the Gulf of Mexico. Ochlockonee, which means"yellow waters," is a mix of brackish, tidal surge, and fresh water. The park's diverse biologicalcommunities feature small grass ponds, bayheads, and oak thickets whichprovide habitat for deer, fox squirrel, bobcat, gray fox, as well asnumerous species of birds including the endangered red-cockadedwoodpecker.
