(nĕl′sən), Donald Arvid Known as "Don." Born 1940. American basketball player and coach. As a forward for the Boston Celtics (1965-1976) he helped the team win five NBA championships. In his 34-year coaching career (1976-2010), he set the record for most wins as a coach (1,335) in NBA history.
