Malyi Uran

a river in Orenburg Oblast, RSFSR. A right tributary of the Samara (Volga basin). Length, 197 km; basin area, 2,330 sq km. The Malyi Uran flows through the Obshchii Syrt Upland. It is fed primarily by snow. The average annual water flow 5.5 km from the mouth is 3.9 cu m per sec. The river freezes in November or early December and thaws in April.
