OC&E Woods Line State Trail
Location:From Klamath Falls, extending east to Bly and north to the Sycan Marsh in Fremont National Forest (see separate entry in National Forests chapter).
Facilities:Multi-use trail.
Activities:Hiking, mountain biking, bicycling, inline skating, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, wildlife viewing.
Special Features:Rail-to-trail conversion built on the old railbed of the Oregon, California and Eastern Railroad (OC&E). The trail is paved for 8 miles (between the Klamath Falls Trailhead and Highway 39) and the remainder is rough, hard-packed rock. From Beatty to the Sycan Marsh, the trail leads into Fremont National Forest, where winter snowfall is consistent. A campground is available at Horse Glade Trailhead.
