Osnovaniia, Fundamenty i Mekhanika Gruntov

(Beddings, Foundations, and Soil Mechanics), a scientific, technical, and industrial journal of Gosstroi (State Committee on Construction) of the USSR. Founded in 1959, it is published in Moscow. The journal deals with theoretical research in soil mechanics, with the structural properties of soils, with the improvement of design methods, and with the design and construction of building foundations and underground structures under various conditions and in different regions. The journal publishes materials helpful to planning and surveying organizations as well as abstracts and articles on foundation construction and subsurface engineering abroad.
